NU in Collaborations with 4 Research Network, Institutes-Taiwan

        On 4 September 2017, Representatives of Naresuan University, led by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Sukhgij Ysothonsreekul-Vice President together with Assoc.Prof.Dr. Ratana Sananmuang-Director of Centre for Academic Excellent in Petroleum Petrochemicals and Advanced Material, Dr. Napisa Waitoolkiat-Director of College of ASEAN Community Studies and Dr. Jiranuwat Swaspitchayaskun-Representative from Department of East-Asia Languages, partook in the signing Ceremony for the Memorandum of Understanding on Collaboration in Nano Science and Technology between Naresuan University and the Nano Science and Technology Program, Taiwan International Graduate Program Academia Sinica, Taiwan.

         Academia Sinica Central Research Academy headquartered in Nangang District, Taipei, is the national science council of Taiwan. It supports research in a wide range of disciplines, humanities and social sciences, including the physical science and life science. As the cooperation between NU and Sinica in physical and chemical science, this cooperation focused on life sciences ranging from mathematical and physical sciences, to life sciences, and to humanities and social sciences as an educational institute.

         The Academia Sinica is Taiwans national academic umbrella body. It supports research activities in a wide range of disciplines, including, inter alia the humanities, social sciences, the physical sciences and biological sciences. There has already been cooperation between the Academic Sinica and Naresuan University in the areas of science, physics and chemistry. This current Memorandum of Understanding will lead to the expansion of biological science research collaboration. This exchange should give rise to support for each other with advanced technology and an exchange of researchers from various disciplines. This partnership is part of the push for more growth in the Taiwanese economy.

         In this visit, a cooperation agreement was signed between Naresuan University and National Kaohsiung Normal University, Taiwan, for language teaching. Specifically, the Chinese language and ASEAN Studies. Cooperation will also include student exchanges.

         In addition, they have visited and discussed possible cooperation with Cheng Shiu University and National Sun Yat-sen University in Taiwan, which will be likely to collaborate on further development of the research network.
