The Faculty of Science at Naresuan University was established
according to the Act of Naresuan University on July 29,
1990. The Faculty of Science originated from the Faculty
of Science and Mathematics of the College of Education,
Phitsanulok.
In 1967 the Faculty of Science and Mathematics was established
at the College of Education, Phitsanulok. The curriculum
of bachelor of Education was opened for the students in
5 majors (Mathematics, Biology, Physics, Science and Mathematics.)
In 1991 the Faculty of Science, Srinakarintharawirot University,
Phitsanulok was renamed to the Faculty of Science, Naresuan
University. In 1996, Aprox. 445 students were accepted
into the university. 6 buildings for Faculty of Science
were used as the place for lecture and research.
Now, the Faculty of Science complex covers an area of
about 62,000 square meters. The area is divided into several
sections; the Departments of Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology
and Physics. Our newly-completed complex is designed to
be a state-of-the-art educational facility which allows
the highest quality environment for work and study.

The Faculty of Science aims
to develop academic excellence by producing graduates
in science and mathematics who will be highly capable
in problem solving, analyzing, synthesizing with
moral and ethics and willing to use their knowledge
and expertise in developing their society and their
country.
