The Faculty of Allied Health Sciences was established
in 1996 in response to the Eighth Higher Education Development
Plan (1997-2001) and the growing need for allied health
professionals in the lower part of Northern Thailand.
The faculty offers four undergraduate programs in Medical
Technology, Cardio-Thoracic Technology, Radiological Technology,
and Physical Therapy.
The four-year curricula emphasizes two major aspects;
course work, in which the enrolled students have to study
intensively both general knowledge and program specific
subjects, and clinical education, which the enrolled students
will have the opportunity of at least a semester to practice
their professional skills in the affiliated hospitals
under supervision of experienced professionals.
|
The Faculty emphasizes on producing
Allied Health Sciences graduates with good competency,
professional ethics, and morality. The expected graduates
should have high potential for conducting research, be
service minded and be highly motivated to serve the community.
